Raise A Glass To...Tom!

Meet Tom, a brewer, whose knack for tinkering knows no bounds. With a toolbox full of mechanical wizardry and a mind brimming with creative solutions, Tom possesses a diverse skill set that makes him the Jack (or perhaps Jerry) of all trades here at Green Bench. 

Tom's extensive knowledge of brewing (from Colorado to Florida) and beyond has made him attuned to the nuances that elevate our beers to greatness. Owner, Khris says, “the amount of experience he has in brewing and other trades has taught Tom to be uniquely aware of small details. As much as anyone on the team, Tom is an over-communicator that always asks the right questions because he cares about the products we make and the people who he makes them with. It’s rare to have a friend and co-worker that helps keep the ship afloat as often as Tom does, and it’s no small feat to contribute to an ever changing schedule like one in a fully operational production brewery.”

And that’s the beautiful thing about Tom, he’s always there to lend a helping hand like a lifelong friend. Whether it’s a brewhouse, structural, mechanical, or car issue, nearly everyone on the brewery team has benefitted from Tom’s kindness towards finding a solution to keep the train moving full steam ahead. Lead Brewer Dan says, “Tom’s our resident tinkerer. His mechanical knowledge and creativity make him a huge asset in the brewery, and his affable nature always makes him a pleasure to work with.” 

Even after the brew day has commenced, Tom can oftentimes be found with a Bench Life in hand tinkering around in the side yard on an array of projects. These days it’s usually his remote control cars, but one never knows what hobby we’ll get to learn about next. Between go-karts, golf carts, boats, and his eye-catching purple Jeep, Tom truly does make the world his oyster. So cheers to Tom, because without him there’s a good chance that pint in your hand would have been delayed another week.
