Raise A Glass To...Cole!
Cole is our Director of Sales and he sure does a lot of directing of sales. Cole started with Green Bench in 2020, right at the height of the pandemic. Clearly, not a role or time that offered much ease due to the uncertainty that surrounded us all. As soon as Cole came on board, he reviewed and analyzed how we had been operating and immediately came up with a plan to develop better systems and spreadsheet tracking (he’s really good at spreadsheets) to allow all corners of the brewery better communication while increasing efficiency and accuracy in real-time. Because of his immediate dedication to the role, Cole’s first full year with GB proved a record sales year in distribution!
Cole is committed to always learning the ever changing dynamics of the beer distribution world. Coming to Green Bench by way of wholesale for many years, he has made it his passion to learn operations from the manufacturers' point of view. In addition, Cole has creatively found solutions and work-arounds to any limitations that come from working at a much smaller business with fewer resources.
It’s not just numbers that makes Cole a valued member of our team, it’s also his ability to grow relationships internally and externally. Owner, Nathan Stonecipher, says “Cole is extremely tenacious, he constantly pursues new ideas and is willing to debate with us on pros/cons of different potential strategies. Cole makes decisions based on numbers and facts and is always working on a new spreadsheet to look at things in unique ways. Most importantly, he treats others with respect all while managing a team and communicating with our wholesale partners to keep beer flowing out into the marketplace.”
Cole described his desire to work at Green Bench based on, “It's an incredible brewery, going against what is hype and setting its own trends. It's great to be a part of something like that, I only try to add what value I can to the future of it. I sell a product I believe in very much each day.” Cole’s unique strategies and ability to look at sales from different vantages paired with Green Bench’s own unique approach to the beer industry make a winning combination.
