Raise A Glass To...Esan!

Esan Guerin came to us by way of the USF Brewing Arts Program. After graduating the program, Esan started as an intern here at Green Bench and it was instantly realized that he was a piece of the puzzle we didn’t even know we were missing. This quick revelation led to him joining our production team full time in March 2021. 

When asking anyone at the brewery about Esan, the overwhelming response is “he is so pleasant, nice, and genuine.” And it’s true…he has a sense of evenness to his attitude in each situation presented. Our Head Brewer, Khris Johnson says, “Esan is even tempered and focused no matter what is going on. He leads by example in this way. He always gets the job done no matter what is thrown at us.” He then jokes, “Plus…he’s very tall. He can reach all the places.”

Esan is our first production employee that went through school and training before working in the industry. He was also the recipient of the ‘This Ain’t The Beer you’re Used To’ Scholarship through Beer Kulture that awarded him the Certified Beer Server course through Cicerone. This has allowed him a good foundation of knowledge to adapt in our ever changing environment. 

As for Esan, he says “I always wanted to work in the beer industry since I finished college. But more than that, I wanted to work at Green Bench because of the kulture, and the story.” Seems like a perfect fit considering his favorite beer was Sunshine City IPA before he even worked at Green Bench and claims he has an even greater appreciation for it now that he’s made it start to finish.
