In the heart of our brewery, where the art of crafting exceptional beer comes to life, one name shines brightly – Dan. More than just a colleague, Dan is a cornerstone of our production team. He’s an embodiment of experience, leadership, and unwavering dedication. Dan is our most tenured employee at Green Bench, starting just 9 months after we opened. Since day one he's always shown true dedication to his craft of brewing beer and to ensuring that Green Bench is manufacturing the best product possible.

His commitment to excellence is unwavering, even in the absence of a watchful eye. Head Brewer/Owner, Khris Johnson, thoughtfully remarks, "Aside from being a great person to work with, Dan is very experienced and leads the production team by example. Dan makes sure to do things the right way, especially when no one's looking, and his tenure gives him the ability to notice things that others might miss. There's no way to truly express the value of that kind of consistent awareness and understanding of what's going on all around the brewery. More so than anyone else on the production team, Dan has a clear understanding of every single job, how to do it, and why those roles are important.” 

These things speak volumes about his character and set a standard that resonates with everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him. It's not just about the work, but the relationships he builds along the way. The camaraderie Dan fosters amongst his peers is a testament to his approachable and affable nature. “Dan continues to take on more of a leadership role on our production floor and never shies away from bringing new ideas, to improve our operations, to our attention. He has always had an ability to balance professionalism and attention to detail with a congenial personality that brings life to Green Bench. He's developed great relationships with others who work here and is never too busy to teach someone how the brewing process works,” says Owner, Nathan Stonecipher.

To say it simply…Dan is an exceptional Brewer, and even better co-worker/friend. He is reliable inside and outside of the brewhouse, always caring and being present for the things that matter most.
