Raise A Glass To...John!

COLD BEER! HEY COLD BEER! If you’ve been to the brewery and heard this called out, we’re not just talking about our literal cold beer…we might also be referring to John, one of our Production team members. John came on board back in August 2021 by way of our friends at Calusa Brewing down in Sarasota, FL.  Along with him came his nickname, Cold Beer. And what a fitting nickname it is!

Cold Beer embodies the St. Petersburg beach vibe through and through. With his surfer vibes and happy, chill demeanor, John can oftentimes be found heading to the beach for a sunset hang, a local live music show, or anything considered a good time…with a 6-pack of beer in hand. His obvious passion for the sunshine life is only matched by his passion for…you guessed it, beer. He's willing to do any and all things it takes to make delicious products. Working alongside Brewing and Packaging, “John has a commitment to meeting our company’s standards that make him a vital asset to the production team,” says Kyle, Packaging Manager. 

Having a positive attitude and being eager to learn is the name of the game when it comes to making beer at Green Bench. John leads each work day with both. Head Brewer, Khris Johnson says “John is an extremely resilient member of our team. He doesn't let the pressure-filled moments of production get him down. He doesn't let criticism shake his mood. John is always happy and passionate. Regardless of how stressful, long, or exhausting a process may be, John is more than willing to add as many steps as it takes to make the best beer possible. And as much as anyone on the team, John cares about doing everything properly, all for the love of cold beer.”
