MAY BOOK CLUB BOOK: The Restaurant of Lost Recipes by Hisashi Kashiwai
MEETING: Tuesday, June 24th at 6:30pm
Green Bench Brewing is proud to announce that we’re launching our very own book club, Books at the Bench! While we aren’t reinventing the wheel with the format, we have decided to focus on one of the things we’re most passionate about - the stories that are woven and told through the food and beverage industry, the fire that fuels the people who work in it, the enthusiasm of those who prefer to keep it a hobby, and everything in between. But don’t get us wrong, this isn’t exclusive to folks who work in the hospitality, and we won’t be focusing on professional development*. The stories we explore will be told through poetry and prose, and fiction and non-.
Books at the Bench will meet the last Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8p. From 6:30-7p, there will be time to gather and settle before the guided discussion which will start at 7p.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive opinionated and chatty, but if there wasn’t time to finish the book or someone wants to come check it out and give it a try, all are welcome!

*While there is not currently a plan to have a book club that is strictly for hospitality professionals, it’s definitely not out of the question. We’re open to creating that space for folks and not-so-secretly hoping for a natural progression towards a second book club to accommodate that desire!
